There are four different sets in this Matador series. You can build a variety of models from each set. There are cars, airplanes, catapults and spaceships.
This series goes somewhat against the philosophy of Matador. The main highlight of Matador is its flexibility. Yes, you can follow the instruction manual that comes with each of the main set, but children are encouraged to use their creativity and design their own models. And they do!
This Explorer Themes series of sets is more limited. They contain sufficient blocks and pins (and the instruction manual) to just build three or four models, one at a time. Needless to say, every set also contain the necessary tools, including a hammer.
These sets are a very convenient and inexpensive way to familiarise yourself with the concept of Matador.
